Managing power imbalance with cloud energy storage in imbalance band market environment

Imbalance band market is an alternative to traditional structures which proposed ensure that system frequency remains within acceptable bounds. In imbalance environment, the load-serving entities (LSEs) can purchase bands or reduce load deviation by operating a battery energy storage (BESS) avoid penalty for causing imbalance. The concept would be effective in sharing balancing responsibility between operator (SO) and entities. this study, authors planning framework serving entity (LSE) considering cloud (CES) business as useful resource environment. term of used platform owns operates storage, while subscribed clients pay service fee requesting charging discharging operations. simulation results show economically rational strategy LSE. verified LSE under environment pursue its own benefit better performs part balance-maintaining obligation SO compared with not business.
